:help:Ĭould it be because of my large library filesize (49GB)? Does anyone have experience with the migration of a large ebook library similar to mine? (Marvin Classic OR Marvin 3) Should I give up hope and rebuild my library from scratch?   I've been using Marvin for several years now and I have so many folders and highlights and it would be such a shame to lose all this metadata. I suppose Marvin 3 "replicates" the 49GB file while restoring that's why space is an issue. The ipad is brand new and has very few apps installed. :( I am able to AirDrop the 48GB backup file onto my iPad (takes forever to transfer) but it crashes the Marvin 3 app once I attempt the restore OR I get a notification that my iPad is running out of space while restoring. I've been attempting a restore but I have been unsuccessful. My old device is an Ipad Mini - Marvin Classic. I recently bought a new iPad 7th Gen 128GB and I would like to transfer my old ebook library. Any ideas on what I can use? Bluefire? Anything better? Thanks. I need help in choosing a poor substitute for Marvin in case Im forced to port my ePub collection into a new e reader for Apple iOS. But now its looking like Im being forced to look for an ePub alternative if Marvin 3 is no longer being updated for the future. Like changing line height and font choices has been a god send. Ive only trusted Marvin 3 to read ebooks because of its enormous range of customizations I can take advantage of to making my reading experience as seamless as possible.

I was relieved to see Marvin taking up the full size iPad with perfect fidelity and clarity.īut the lack of news about anything new in the pipeline for Marvin 3.0 has me seriously worried for the future of e-reading on the iPad in the future. I just purchased an iPad Pro 12.9 512 gig edition and restored an iTunes backup which had 6 gig of ebooks on Marvin 3.0. Im very concerned for the future of e-reading on the iPad.
